This consists of a pressure treated timber frame, covered with damp proof membrane & mounted on stilts. These are positioned on concrete block pads, set in a meter grid formation and cemented in place to avoid lateral or vertical movement. A standard height step, the width of the door (or the opening of the veranda) and a cover up around the base are included. If located on a flat surface, the building will be raised approximately 20cm off the ground. If located on a slope, it may be raised higher, which can increase the cost.

This consists of a solid concrete pad, including rebar, a radon barrier below and a damp proof course of torch on felt on top. Please note, a step at the door is not included with this foundation, but can be supplied at additional cost. The price for the concrete pad may vary depending on location, degree of slope (if any) and ease of access to the site.

45mm wall thickness comes as standard in all our garden type cabins, external wall insulation upgrade is a must if the structure is being used for residential purpose.

60mm wall thickness upgrade is highly recommended as this will make your cabin more structurally solid. This wall thickness will reduce movement in the walls. External wall insulation upgrade is a must if the structure is being used for residential purpose.

Only advisable for storage units, not suitable for residential log cabins or home offices. Buildings with uninsulated walls are inefficient to heat and are not protected by pressure treated cladding, decreasing the longevity of the building. This results in increased heating & maintenance costs over the lifespan of the building. Uninsulated walls get only two years structural warranty.

External insulation consists of 100mm insulation + breathable damp proof membrane + 25mm ventilated facade + 19mm pressure treated ship-lap cladding. This the highest standard option, the structural wall is never exposed to the elements as the pressure treated cladding protects the building, increasing longevity and lowering maintenance costs. This comes with a ten-year structural warranty.

Maintenance free with no painting required, ever! This option consists of 100mm insulation + breathable damp proof membrane + 25mm ventilated facade + uPVC coated steel sheets, cut to size of your walls. This is our highest standard option, the structural wall is never exposed to the elements as the steel cladding protects the building, increasing longevity and really lowering maintenance costs. For cabins with a veranda, steel cladding covers the back and sides, shiplap is used on the front because of the overhang. Available in a variety of colours. This comes with a ten-year structural warranty.

Included in price our premium glue laminated timber windows with 24mm toughened safety glazing, 3-point locks on the windows, 5-point locks on external doors. Flag hinges (fully adjustable). These windows come unpainted and require to be painted by the customer. See our painting packages below to get these windows painted or upgrade to uPVC windows, a maintenance-free option.

Client is responsible to paint the log cabin within 4 weeks of completion as per warranty agreement.

2. Oil-Based Primer (only comes with the solid paint)

Our in house professional painting team will perform following works on your cabin:
1. Remove window/door hardware, seals, and hinges.
2. Remove gutters/downpipes and roof flashings (flashings will be removed only prior to painting, not staining)
3. Fill screw holes on the windows/doors (architraves and frames).4. Sand windows and doors fully (including frames)
5. Apply caulk to the open joints on the windows/doors including frames (only prior to painting, not staining)
6. Silicone seal the open joints on the walls, facias, window and door frames (externally)
7. Spot prime knots with oil-based primer (only prior to painting, not staining)
Our price is given for a standard 2 colour painting which includes the main colour on the body of the cabin and the second colour on the windows and doors (including frame). Any other requirements such as extra colours will be priced as a custom project.
